Successful Visit From Our Swedish Friends.
In September we were very excited to welcome another group of Swedish children from our partner school in Gadden. We spent the day together in York looking at the famous sites such as Clifford’s Tower and The Minster.
Over the weekend they joined our families for some great Yorkshire hospitality before their final day in school were they spent some time with each of our classes.
In Howard Class we used a great website to improve our knowledge of the Swedish language.
The collaboration between the schools continues to strengthen and the benefits to our school are numerous with positive impact evidenced in social, moral and cultural education. The children throughout the school love the chance to talk to the Swedish children and share their common interests. The children as young as 4 years old carry on throughout the next few weeks saying their register in Swedish!
