We love archaeology!
Galtres Class have been looking at Roman settlements in our local area. They have researched life during Roman times finding out about their food, lifestyle and beliefs. On a visit to York they were able to practice their archaeological skills at the Dig and enjoyed thinking about how remains can help us find out about the past.
They gathered further evidence from the Undercroft at York Minster.
Once back in school they welcomed Dr Leary, a lecturer in Field Archaeology into the class to talk about the work of an archaeologist. It was fascinating.
