Lovely fresh bread – yummy!
As we near the end of the first part of the autumn term we take time in school to consider the harvest both in our country and around the world. Our harvest celebration this year will reflect on how lucky we are to have so many lovely vegetables and fruits at harvest time whilst others are not so fortunate. One activity we have particularly enjoyed is baking some fresh bread. Cooking and nutrition are a part of our school curriculum and the children are being taught how to cook and apply the principles of nutrition and healthy eating. The children from Howard class have each made a wheat sheaf. They looked fantastic and tasted delicious! The younger children will make a simpler version!
