On Thursday 6th March 2014 we celebrated ‘World Book Day!’
The children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters and told each other about why they like this book. The children also had the opportunity to share some books with their friends, we talked about favourite authors and genres. In some classes the children discussed when and where they like to read, such as at bedtime snuggled under the duvet or in a cosy armchair during the weekend.
It was an enjoyable day and helped to raise the children’s awareness of the importance of reading.
